The cleanest signal today is from OpenAI, which added new usage analytics and spend controls for ChatGPT Enterprise. That sounds admin-ish, because it is, but it matters: the next phase of enterprise AI is less about one flashy demo and more about whether finance, security, and platform teams can actually govern usage without turning every rollout into a spreadsheet hostage situation. OpenAI is giving organizations more visibility into who is using ChatGPT, where budgets are going, and how to cap or manage spending as deployments scale.
OpenAI also published two health-related updates. One describes improvements to ChatGPT’s health and wellness responses in GPT-5.5 Instant, with stronger reasoning, better context handling, clearer communication, and physician-informed evaluations. The other says researchers used an OpenAI reasoning model to help diagnose rare genetic diseases in children, identifying eighteen new diagnoses in previously unsolved cases. The important caveat: this is clinical decision support, not a robo-doctor. On infrastructure, TechCrunch reports that U.S. energy regulators have given AI data centers a faster lane for grid interconnection.
